About
We made “good luck” unnecessarily elaborate.
We built LuckDrop because sending someone “good luck” is one of those tiny human gestures that can mean a lot.
So we made it unnecessarily elaborate.
LuckDrop doesn't promise to change probability, destiny, exam results, weather patterns or the universe. There's no ancient ritual behind it, no guru and no secret tradition. It's software — carefully made, slightly ridiculous software.
It does let someone know you're thinking about them.
And sometimes that's pretty powerful.
Luck, shared
10% of our profits go to good causes around the world. Every LuckDrop is a small act of rooting for someone; we think some of it should reach people who could use more than luck.
- How much: 10% of our profits — what's left after payment fees, email delivery, hosting, refunds and the costs of running LuckDrop.
- Where it goes: good causes around the world. We'll name the specific charities here as soon as they're chosen.
- Accountability: we'll publish what we've given and to whom, so you don't have to take our word for it.
