This explains what LuckDrop collects, why, and what we never do with it.
What we collect
- From senders: your name (unless you send anonymously), the recipient's first name and email, your message, the occasion and amount. Your email address comes from checkout, for your receipt.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store card numbers.
- From recipients: when the LuckDrop page is opened and the ceremony completed, and your choices (share, leaderboard, chain name).
- Coarse location (city and country) derived from IP addresses by our hosting provider, used for luck-chain pages. We don't store IP addresses — only a daily-rotating, salted hash for rate limiting and abuse prevention.
- Campaign parameters (UTM tags) and product events so we know which videos and links bring people here. These never include email addresses or messages.
What we never do
- Show anyone's email address to anyone else, or put it in a URL.
- Put private messages in link previews or social images. A message only appears on a public share card if the recipient explicitly chooses to include it.
- Sell personal data, or use recipient emails for marketing.
- Use tracking pixels in our emails. “Opened” means the LuckDrop page was visited.
Cookies and measurement
We set a first-party cookie to remember which campaign brought you here. If we enable advertising or analytics pixels (Google Analytics, Meta, TikTok), they only load after you accept them.
Emails
Recipients get one email per LuckDrop. Every email has a link to block future LuckDrops to that address; we keep only a one-way fingerprint (hash) of blocked addresses.
Retention and your rights
We keep LuckDrop records for as long as needed to provide the service, handle disputes and meet tax obligations. You can ask for access, correction or deletion at hello@getluckdrop.com.
Processors
- Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Vercel (hosting), Supabase/PostgreSQL (database).
